CTOHLELLEICTTTILVEE ELEVATING WOMEN’S WORK

TAYLOR — Part office space, part event rental, part business consultation and part support group, entrepreneur Lexi Little has found her niche by launching a new coworking venue geared toward women.

The Little Collective, 211 N. Main St., is a place where women who want it all realize they can get it all, owner Little said. The company is expanding after only a month in business.

“This is not just about coworking. It’s about the community. When women come and work here they feel good about themselves. They feel seen, they feel heard, they feel supported,” Little said. “It’s much deeper than just coming in and putting your laptop down and shutting yourself off from the rest of the world.”

Little is a self-mastery coach, a career that worked well with the travel-heavy life she shared with her husband, who is a drag racer. But their daughter developed a health issue last year that kept the family at home, and The Little Collective was born.

“It just so happened that people needed this space very much in this community. More so than honestly we ever would have thought,” she said.

Little opened her company in July in a 400-square-foot space. She is now working on the move to a 4,000-squarefoot operation that will open in the next few months.

“Our new location will have private offices, dedicated desks, open coworking like it is now, event rental space, a coffee shop, a playroom for kids, a gym, everything,” she said.

Little added her company caters to women to make them feel safe and foster collaboration.

“You meet other like-minded women,” she said. “It’s really good for your personal and mental development as well.”

Little offers business coaching, start-up consultation, career-advancement guidance and more.

“We have a full holistic approach to supporting someone. We offer a lot more than just coming in to cowork,” she said.

The workspace was designed for women with remote jobs, wanting to start their own business and looking for career development.

The spot is used by companies for monthly meetings, trainings, pop-up sales events, birthday parties and more, Little said.

The office also has an area for clients to create podcasts and social-media reels.

“We set it all up, the mic, recorder everything. Customers want that because everything is social media-focused and specifically reels,” she said, alluding to the popular videos that are 90 seconds or less. “More people are making money off reels than any other content at this moment and this gives them the highest capacity to do that while they’re looking like a leader in their industry.”

Hours for coworking are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and event studio rentals are 5-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

“When women come and work here they feel good about themselves.”
